A security guard reportedly shot a 30-year old male patron at a bar in the Olney section of the city early this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened at the LB’s Lounge located on the 5400 block of North 5th Street at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.
The security guard reportedly asked the 30-year old man to leave the bar. The man left, but returned shortly with a gun and allegedly threatened the security guard. At that point the security guard fired his weapon, striking the patron in the shoulder. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound, before being taken into police custody for the weapon recovered by police at the scene of the shooting. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
The security was questioned by police, but has not been charged in the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.
