Escaped convicted murderer, Danelo Cavacalnte, was taken into custody in Chester County, P.A. this morning.

A 6 ABC Action News report said Cavalcante was captured at around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Cavalcante was caught in a perimeter around an area that had been set by authorities and tactical teams. Authorities said they used k-9 dogs and thermal technology in the tracking process. Cavalcante was reportedly found hiding under a pile of logs. He was wearing a grey “Philadelphia Eagles” sweatshirt when he was captured. Police said Cavalcante was bitten by one of the K-9’s during his arrest.
Cavalcante was taken to the Pennsylvania State Police Avondale Barracks where he is expected to remain until being sent back to prison.
The Chester County Commissioners thanked law enforcement for their tireless efforts in tracking down and capturing the escapee
“The capture of Cavalcante ends the nightmare of the past two weeks, and we thank every single law enforcement official at the regional, state, and federal level that was out in all weather conditions, all day and night…as well as everyone in the incident command center, our County Department Of Emergency Services, and County Sheriff’s Office – for their immense efforts”, Chester County Commissioners, M. Moskowitz and M. Kichline, said in a written statement.
