An unidentified woman was reportedly struck by gunfire during a shooting in the Belmont section of the city last night.
A Fox-29 Philly report said the shooting happened at 42nd & Ogden Streets at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim on the sidewalk unresponsive and bleeding heavily. She’d been shot in the head one time. Police rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
