An unidentified woman was reportedly shot multiple times and killed and an unidentified man was shot and critically wounded during a double shooting in the Port Richmond section of the city early this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on Buckius Street near Kensington Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Investigators said at least 40-shots were fired during the double shooting. The female victim was shot multiple times in the chest. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was shot twice in the head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time. Police said they are searching for two dark-colored Jeeps that may be connected to the shooting.
