A 6-ABC Action News report said police were called to the area of 3rd & Cambridge Streets at around 10 p.m. on Thursday night.

First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying in the street semi-conscious and bleeding from the head. Multiple witnesses were reportedly rendering aid to the victim.

Witnesses told police that the victim had been sitting inside of a parked Toyota Highlander when two masked men on a dirt bike rode up. One of the assailants pulled the victim out of the SUV and a scuffle ensued between the victim and two attackers. The victim was left lying in the street as one of the suspects jumped into the SUV and sped off, followed by his accomplice who hopped back on the dirt bike and followed.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics. A family member of the victim showed up to the hospital shortly after he was admitted.

The victim died about an hour after arriving at the hospital as a result of his injuries. Investigators tracked the brand new Toyota through the Toyota Mobile App. The vehicle was found abandoned behind a property in Camden, New Jersey. Small said that Camden Police are guarding the vehicle and checking for fingerprints or DNA to hopefully help to identify the suspects.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
