Philadelphia police are cracking down on its residents who use orange cones to illegally hold their parking spot.

A report from 6 ABC Action News said the Philadelphia Police 15th district has made a move to strictly enforce the city’s “no savesies” rule. Meaning, once you leave the parking spot it is no longer YOURS and prohibiting others from parking there is illegal.
Police said they rounded up 102 cones on the first day of enforcing the parking law in the city.
“The only reason they stopped (confiscating the cones) is because they ran out of space in the wagons and cars they were using”, said Police Captain Marquise Newsome.
Newsome also said that the district took action after a town hall meeting where multiple residents complained about the parking situation.
“How are you going to hold it from 7 o’clock in the morning to 5 o’clock in the afternoon?” Asked Northeast Philly resident, Michael Farrington.
The cone enforcement in the city has officially began. You’ve been warned! Do you agree with the residents who say saving a parking space should be banned?
