Terrence Butler, a 6′ 7″ forward with the Drexel Dragons basketball team was reportedly found dead inside of his on-campus apartment this morning.

No details were given on the circumstances surrounding the death of the forward who would have been entering his junior year this season. Drexel University released a brief statement on Wednesday morning.
“On behalf of the entire Drexel community, we extend our deepest sympathy to Terrance’s family, friends, and teammates. In addition to being a student-athlete, Terrence was involved in numerous activities and organizations at Drexel and was a friend to many throughout the University community”, the university said in a release.
A report from CBS-3 Philly said Butler was the son of Terrance and Dena Butler and the youngest of three children. Butler graduated from Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland and was the Most Valuable Player on the team in 2019. In 2-seasons at Drexel University, Butler had only played in 8 games due to injuries.
