An unidentified woman was gunned down during an ambush shooting as she sat in her car in the Feltonville section of the city yesterday.

A 6 ABC Action News report said the shooting happened on the 500 block of East Loudon Street at around 6 p.m. on Monday evening.
Investigators said at least 28-shots were fired during the ambush shooting. The victim, who was reportedly the registered owner of the vehicle, died at the scene.
“Several bullets went through the front windshield and she was struck in the face, neck, and the chest. She was slumped in the driver’s seat of a Honda sedan that was parked along the curb. Someone was tragically shot and killed. We have at least 100 people at this playground right across the street with 28-shots fired. We’re very lucky that there are no additional shooting victims”, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
A possible motive for the shooting was not reported. Police say the shooter(s) may have fled the scene in a white SUV. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
