A pizza delivery driver reportedly shot an attempted carjacker in the Chestnut Hill section of the city last night.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened at the Chestnut Hill Apartments located on the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue on Tuesday night.
As the delivery driver pulled up to the apartment complex and exited his vehicle, two masked men brandishing weapons reportedly forced the driver back into the vehicle. Police said the driver eventually managed to get out of the car. A suspect followed him. At that point a shootout between the two broke out.
One of the suspects was shot in the back. His current condition is unknown. The second suspect fled on foot and remains on the lam. The delivery driver was not physically injured.
