Former U.S.A. Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar was reportedly stabbed multiple times in prison yesterday.

A report from CNN said Nassar was stabbed a total of 10 times (twice in the neck, twice in the back, and six times in the chest) on Sunday at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Coleman II in Florida. President of the Local Corrections Officers Union, Joe Rojas, said he credits corrections officers on the scene with saving Nassar’s life.
A statement from the Bureau Of Prisons read:
“On Sunday July 9, 2023, at approximately 2:35 p.m. an inmate was assaulted at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Coleman II, in Sumterville, Florida. Responding staff immediately initiated life-saving measures. Staff requested Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and life-saving efforts continued. “
Nassar was last reported to be in stable condition. Nassar had been serving time at USP Coleman after being sentenced in 2018 to serve up to 175 years in prison after more than 150 women and girls testified to being sexually abused by Nassar over the last 20 + years.
