47-year old, Jamal Wing from Wilmington, Delaware was arrested after allegedly assaulting two state troopers and biting a police K-9 several times following a traffic stop this weekend.

A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened when state troopers spotted Wing’s black Toyota Camry speeding in the Southbound direction on Philadelphia Pike near Rolling Road at around 2 a.m. early on Saturday morning.
Wing was reportedly pulled over by troopers in a nearby parking lot. The troopers said Wing “forcibly” resisted arrest when troopers attempted to take Wing into custody. Wing is alleged to have fought the troopers and bit a police k-9 multiple times during the scuffle. Once in custody, troopers took Wing to an area hospital for treatment for injuries received during the scuffle with the troopers.
Wing allegedly continued fighting with troopers at the hospital where he had to be restrained. Doctors said they smelled a heavy odor of alcohol on Wing’s breath. Wing was arrested and is now facing a slew of charges related to the incident including two counts of felony assault in the 2nd degree, felony assault of a law enforcement animal in the 1st degree, and felony 3rd offense of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Wing is currently being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $34,200 cash bond.
