A 35-year old woman was reportedly struck and killed by a hit and run driver in North Philadelphia early this morning.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened at the intersection of Broad & Somerset Streets at around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Police said the victim was crossing Broad Street at Somerset when a vehicle in the Northbound lane struck her and kept going. The impact reportedly knocked the victim out of her shoes. Witnesses said the vehicle in question was a white sedan. Police say the vehicle’s undercarriage fell off as the driver sped away from the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
