20-year old, Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown, has been arrested and charged in the death of 73-year old, Gloristine Pinkney, who police found dead underneath a forklift in the parking lot of a Home Depot Store over the weekend.

A report from CNN said police responded to a call of a burglary at the Lowe’s Store in Waldorf , Maryland at around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Police said Brown broke into the Lowe’s Store and stole a forklift. He then drove across the street to the parking lot of the Home Depot, where he rammed into a vehicle with the forklift. Pinkney, who had been in her car asleep at the time, woke up and got out of the car when she realized that she’d been hit. She started to run, but Brown allegedly caught up to her and ran her over with the forklift. Afterward, he fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Brown was arrested that same evening, after police spotted the victim’s car parked near his home. Brown is being held at the Charles County Detention Center on charges of 1st-degree murder, 2nd-degree murder, assault, and multiple other charges according to the report. Brown is being held with no bond. Brown has a bond review hearing scheduled for today, July 5th, 2023.
