A 27-year old woman was reportedly shot and critically injured in West Philadelphia early this morning.
A report from Fox-29 Philly said the shooting happened on the 200 block of 63rd Street shortly after midnight on Saturday morning.
First responding police officers at the scene said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was last reported to be in critical condition. Two boys at the scene aged 4 and 6, were also taken to the hospital. The report said the children may have not been shot, they may have been witnesses to the shooting. A 25-year old male was reportedly with the victim also. His relationship to the victim and/or his connection to the shooting was not reported.
Police said the motive may have been the result of a domestic situation, but did not elaborate any further.
