A 33-year old man was reportedly shot multiple times in the University City section of the city early this morning.

A report from Fox-29 Philly said the shooting happened on the 300 block of South 40th Street at around 1 a.m. on Friday morning.
First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying on the ground suffering from two gunshot wounds to his abdomen. The victim was reportedly going in and out of consciousness. He was rushed to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
The suspected shooter was described as ” a male who fled south on foot with a woman”. No arrests have been made at this time.
