Nine people were reportedly shot outside of Ball Arena in Denver last night after the Nuggets beat the Miami Heat 94-89 and won their first NBA Championship.
A report from CNN said shots were fired on the 2000 block of Market Street during an altercation outside of the arena a few hours after the game ended. Three people were rushed to the hospital and last reported to be in critical condition. The other six victims were taken to the hospital with “non life-threatening” injuries. An investigation is ongoing as police attempt to determine a motive for the shooting.
Police said they took a suspect into custody at the scene. He was shot, but reported to have non life-threatening injuries.
