A 48-year old man was reportedly shot and killed in the Holmesburg section of Northeast Philadelphia early this morning.
A report from NBC-10 Philadelphia said the shooting happened on the 4400 block of Oakmont Street at around 1:24 a.m. on Saturday morning.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
