A man and woman are both in critical condition after being shot during a double shooting in West Philadelphia earlier this week.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the shooting happened on the 800 block of Brooklyn Street at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday night.
A 36-year old woman was reportedly shot in the head, and a 39-year old man was shot twice in the back while attempting to run away from the shooter or shooters, according to police investigators.
“We found three spent shell casings all just a few feet from where she was lying, so clearly the shooter or shooters walked right up to her and fired the three shots”, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital by police, where they were both last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
