Police arrested a suspect in a shooting last night, while at a separate shooting scene down the street in the Kensington section of the city last night.

A 6 ABC Action News report said the shooting police and police investigators were on the scene investigating, happened at the corner of East G Street & Allegheny Avenue at around 10:30 p.m.
A 15-year old girl was reportedly shot in both thighs during that shooting. While investigating that incident, police heard gunshots coming from up the street. Police spotted a 29-year old man firing multiple shots. He was ordered to get on the ground by responding officers. The suspect complied with the police’s orders. While arresting the suspect, police discovered he had been shot.
“They realized that 29-year old who was firing shots was also shot in both of his legs and that 29-year old claims he was shot by a vehicle and was returning fire. Right now he is a victim, but he’s also in custody for having a gun and firing a gun. Preliminary information, he does not have a valid permit to carry”, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
The 15-year old was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for her shooting was not reported. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
