Philadelphia Police reportedly found a dead man in the backseat of a vehicle they were in pursuit of, after two individuals inside of the car fled the scene after attempting to be pulled over by police in Northeast Philadelphia earlier this evening.

A report from NBC-10 Philly said police attempted to pull over a blue Nissan they say was speeding in the area of 57th & Springfield Streets at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The driver and passenger reportedly fled the car shortly after being spotted by police. The officers found an unresponsive male in the backseat when they looked into the car. The police officers transferred the victim from the Nissan’s backseat to their cruiser and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The driver and passenger reportedly came back for the Nissan and fled in the vehicle as police were rushing the shooting victim to the hospital. Police said they have not yet been able to determine where the victim was shot.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
