An unidentified 44-year old woman and an unidentified 21-year old woman were both shot in the Kensington section of the city early this morning.
A report from NBC-10 Philadelphia said the shooting happened on the 100 block of East Allegheny Avenue at around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The 44-year old woman was reportedly shot once in the chest. The 21-year old woman was reportedly shot in the thigh twice. Both women were rushed to a nearby hospital where the 44-year old victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving, and the 21-year old woman was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
