A crash involving seven vehicles that led to a house fire, reportedly left two people injured last night in North Philadelphia.

A report from NBC-10 Philly said the incident took place near the intersection of 31st & Diamond Streets on Monday night.

Police investigators said a red SUV was speeding west down Diamond Street when it struck another vehicle. The driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle after the crash, then he crashed into multiple other vehicles, before crashing into a home on the block. The impact from the crash shattered the windows in the home and dismantled the steps. Investigators say the crash caused the home to catch fire.

At least two people were reportedly taken to hospitals. Their conditions were not reported. Investigators said one driver fled the scene after the crash. Police have not yet released a description of that driver. An investigation is ongoing.
