Former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, was arraigned in a courtroom in New York City yesterday. Making him the first president in the history of this country to be arraigned on criminal charges.

A report from UPI News said Trump was charged with 34-counts of falsifying business records. Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg said the falsifying records charges was a conspiracy to bury information that would have negatively affected his 2016 bid for president.
“The people of the state of New York allege that Donald J. Trump repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal crimes that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election. As the statement of facts describes, the trail of money and lies exposes a pattern that, the people allege, violates one of New York’s basic and fundamental business laws”, Bragg said in a statement.
Trump arrived to his hearing at the State Supreme Court in Manhattan to be arraigned at around 2:30 p.m. He reportedly left the courtroom at around 3:25 p.m. The former president’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 4th, 2023.
