A  ABC News report said “Tax” was found guilty by a jury for shooting and killing Ronald McPhatter and injuring three other people backstage during a concert at Irving Plaza in New York in 2016.

Rapper T.I. was on stage performing at the time of the shooting. Rapper, Troy Ave. was set to appear on stage after T.I. Taxstone and Troy Ave reportedly had a long-running beef at the time the two crossed paths backstage that night. Troy Ave, testified in court to the events that led to McPhatter’s (Ave’s bodyguard) death that night and Taxstone’s role in his death.

Taxstone is set to be sentenced next month.
