An 18-year old male was reportedly shot and critically injured after allegedly attempting to steal a car in the Tacony section of the city this afternoon.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened on the 7100 block of Cottage Street at around 3:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect was shot by the vehicle’s owner, who was licensed to carry a weapon. The suspect was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
No charges were reported against the car’s owner.
