A 65-year old woman was reportedly shot in the stomach and her 34-year old daughter was reportedly shot in the shoulder during an attempted robbery at a pizza shop in the Mayfair section of the city last night.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened at Mayfair Pizza located on the 7400 block of Frankford Avenue at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday night.
According to investigators, the shop owner, employees, and customers immediately jumped into action after the shooting.
The owner, who’s the husband and father of these females that were shot, actually struggled with our 19-year old perpetrator. And other employees, and one or two other customers, actually helped subdue the 19-year old shooter until police arrived on location”, said Philadelphia Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
The victims, both employees at the shop, were rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where both victims were last reported to be in stable condition. The suspect has not yet been identified.
