Three children were reportedly found dead inside of a home in Italy, Texas on Friday afternoon. Police said two more children found in the home were rushed to area hospitals with stab wounds.Â
A 6 ABC Action News report said all five children were siblings who were in “temporary CPS care”, according to the Texas Department Of Family & Protective Services.
“We are shocked by this incomprehensible tragedy and already working with law enforcement to investigate how this happened and why”, Tiffani Butler with the CPS said.
Police issued a statement saying that a suspect (the children’s mother) has been apprehended and is currently in police custody. No other details were reported at this time.
