A 54-year old man was reportedly shot through the front door of his home by an armed suspect in the Ogontz section of the city early this morning.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened on the 200 block of West Champlost Avenue at around 2 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Police investigators said the victim answered a knock on his front door. After a brief argument with the suspect, he closed his door and walked back into his house. That was when the suspect fired at least one shot through the victim’s front door, hitting him in the chest.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. The report did not give any info on if the suspect has been arrested or is known to police at this time.
