3 suspects were reportedly arrested after one of the suspects fired at least one shot into a police officers’ SUV during a traffic stop in West Philly last night.
A report from 6 ABC Action News said the incident began when two officers attempted to pull over a Chevy Tahoe near 54th & Summer Streets at around 7:40 p.m. on Thursday evening.
According to police, a suspect inside of the Tahoe fired one shot at police before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot. The officer returned fire. No one was hit during the exchange. The SUV sped off afterward, but crashed before getting far. The suspected shooter and two fleeing passengers were reportedly caught after a brief foot-pursuit.
Police say a 4th suspect eluded arrest. The suspect’s weapon was recovered by police.
