A 44-year old man was reportedly shot in the head and killed in the Germantown section of the city this afternoon.
A report from Fox-29 Philly said the incident happened on the 200 block of West Queen Lane at around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the unconscious victim lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after arriving. A possible suspect(s) and motive for the shooting is reportedly being investigated by police, but was not revealed to the public at this time.
No arrests have been made at this time.
