An elderly woman, only identified as “a woman in her 70’s”, was killed during a house fire in the Cobbs Creek section of the city last night.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the house fire on the 500 block of South 57th Street was first reported at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Officials said the fire was brought under control in around 20 minutes, but the elderly woman who was reportedly trapped in a 2nd floor bedroom, was killed in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
