An armed man driving a golf cart reportedly abducted a woman in the Port Richmond section of the city yesterday.
A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened on Cumberland Street near Aramingo Avenue in Port Richmond at around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday morning.
According to police, the golf cart driving suspect, who was identified by witnesses as only “a white man”, reportedly pulled up on the curb near Cumberland Street, got out of the golf cart, pulled out a gun and aimed it at the woman, who was walking along Cumberland Street unaware of the suspect. The man then grabbed the woman and shoved her into the passenger’s side of the cart before taking off heading Westbound on Cumberland Street.
The cart was described as a maroon and black colored Polaris Northstar XP 1000 two-seat golf cart. There was no word given on the abducted woman. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
