Miles Pfeffer of Buckingham Township in Bucks County, who turned 18-years old this January, was arrested this morning in connection to the murder of Temple University Police Officer, Chris Fitzgerald, Saturday night in North Philadelphia.

A report from CBS-3 Philly said officers from the U.S. Marshals Office arrested Pfeffer at his Buckingham Township home at around 7 a.m. on Sunday morning. Less than 24-hours after the murder of Officer Fitzgerald.

 

 

 

The report said the marshals put the fallen officer’s handcuffs on Pfeffer as he was taken into custody. A convoy of law enforcement officers from multiple agencies, led a convoy from Bucks County to Philadelphia, where Pfeffer will await charges that are expected to be announced on Monday.

 

Pfeefer shot and killed Officer Fitzgerald as the officer was attempting to stop a carjacking in progress in North Philadelphia. Officer Fitzgerald is the first Temple University Police Officer to be killed in the line of duty since its inception in 1975.
