A report from 6 ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 3900 block of Folsom Street at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.

First responding police officers at the scene reported finding one of the victims lying on the sidewalk at the bottom of a home’s steps. He’d been shot multiple times in the chest and torso. Police rushed the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

A second victim had been rushed to the hospital by private vehicle. He was shot multiple times in the back. The victim was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.

According to police, 17 spent shell casings were found at the scene. Shell casings were found in multiple locations at the scene including the street and sidewalk, the front steps and porches of several homes on the block, and several spent shell casings were discovered inside of the home.

“At least eight bullets went through the front door of that property and they lodged in the ceiling and the walls inside the property”, said Philadelphia Chief Inspector, Scott Small.

Small also said both victims lived about a half-block away from the scene of the shooting. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
