41-year old, former Greensburgh, P.A Police Chief, Shawn Denning, is facing 20 + years behind bars, after being accused of helping to distribute cocaine, meth, and other narcotics. Denning is also facing a possible fine of $1 million if convicted of the charges.

A report from USA Today said Denning is facing six counts of drug distribution and other related charges for his activities between June of 2021 through October of 2022. The charges against Denning comes after he personally had dealings with a DEA informant who was facing heavy prison time, as a twice convicted felon. The informant cooperated with authorities in the hopes of a lighter prison term when he is sentenced for his latest charge.
The informant reportedly first met with Denning in the summer of 2021. Denning told the informant he knew drug dealers in California who could send him drugs. Prosecutors said Denning served as a middleman who facilitated the informant’s purchase of large amounts of drugs by connecting him with multiple suppliers he personally vouched for, between June 2021 and October 2022.
Denning was released on a $250,000 bail on Tuesday according to court records. A date for Denning next court appearance was not reported.
