A 41-year old man was reportedly shot and injured as he was driving in Southwest Philadelphia last night.
A report from 6 ABC Action News said the incident happened at the intersection of 56th Street & Thompson Avenue at around 10 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Police said the victim’s BMW was hit by gunfire at least 12-times, after a white Jeep with tinted windows rode up alongside the victim’s vehicle and opened fire. The victim was hit, but managed to drive to 52nd & Pine Streets where he flagged down two police officers and asked for help. Police rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
