2 adults and 11 juveniles were arrested and charged in connection to 3 burglaries that took place in Bucks and Montgomery Counties between September and November of 2022.
A report from 6 ABC Action News said the 9 teens arrested are part of a juvenile gang from West Philadelphia. According to police, the gang’s first burglary was on September 24th at the Founding Fathers Outfitters Gun Store in Springfield Township, Montgomery County. A 2020 KIA Forte that was stolen in Philadelphia was used to transport the gang from Philadelphia to Springfield Township and back. 26 guns were stolen from the Springfield gun shop in that burglary, six of which police say have been recovered. No word on the still missing guns from that robbery. One of the guns stolen during the robbery was reportedly used in multiple shootings, including a murder in Philadelphia.
The teens charged were reportedly between the ages of 14-17 years old. 40-year old, Angel Mason, 22-year old Donte Purnell, and 18-year old Liv Hall were also arrested. One of the adults remain on the lam at last report. The 13 people charged were all hit with various felony charges. All 13 were charged with operating a corrupt organization, conspiracy, robbery, and theft by unlawful taking. And a host of other charges.
“These defendants brazenly broke into gun stores and stole nearly 100 firearms, then sold and transferred them widely throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. With 60 firearms unaccounted for, we still don’t know the extent of the damage by this corrupt organization’s criminal activities, including shootings and murders”, said Montgomery County District Attorney, Kevin R. Steele.
