A report from 6 ABC Action News said the incident happened on the 6700 block of Marsden Street shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning.

First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim sitting inside of an SUV that was parked right outside of the home. She was suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. She was taken to the hospital and last reported to be in stable condition.

When asked who shot her, she told police she believed the gunshots came from inside of the home. Police went back to the scene and discovered that some of the neighbors’ homes on the block were also hit by gunfire. One neighbor had a front window busted out via a bullet. Neighbors told police the same thing the victim had, “The shooting came from inside of the house, and they believed the shooter may still be inside.”

At that point police barricaded the entire block and called in a SWAT team. After being ordered by the SWAT team to exit the home, 5 people emerged from the residence with their hands up. They were taken into custody to be questioned. Meanwhile, the SWAT team reportedly fired off a flash grenade before entering the home to “clear” the rooms.

Investigators said a preliminary search of the residence leads them to believe narcotics were being sold from the home. The report did not say which one, if any, of the five people being detained were the shooter.
