50-year old, William L.Fitzgerald, from Pittsburgh, P.A. was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of his estranged wife, 47-year old, Tarae Washington, also from Pittsburgh, P.A.
A report from the Daily Voice said Fitzgerald was captured on Interstate 79 near Morgantown, West Virginia on January 9th.
Washington was reportedly found in her Arlington home by police on January 5th. She was handcuffed and suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to authorities. Fitzgerald is alleged to have sent photos to a friend after the killing with the message “this what y’all got her.”
The couple were reportedly in the final stages of the divorce. Fitzgerald reportedly wanted to reconcile. Washington did not.
There was no word on Fitzgerald’s next court appearance.
