A police officer is reportedly recovering in the hospital after being involved in a head-on collision in Southwest Philadelphia last night.
A report from 6 ABC Action News said the incident happened at 59th & Kingsessing Avenue at around 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
The officer was reportedly traveling Westbound On Kingsessing Avenue when a Ford Taurus traveling Eastbound on Kingsessing smashed into the police cruiser head-on. The officer and driver of the Taurus were both rushed to a nearby hospital. The officer was last reported to be in stable condition. The condition of the driver of the Taurus was not reported.
No charges have been filed at this time.
