A report from CBS Minnesota said the incident happened at Montgomery Regional Airport at around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The victim was employed by American Airlines/Piedmont Airlines.

“We are saddened to hear about the tragic loss of a team member of the AA/Piedmont Airlines. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time”, Executive Director, Wade Davis said.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSA) released a written statement that said the crew member was “ingested into the aircraft” while it was parked at the gate with the parking break set. The NTSB said they have opened an investigation into the incident.
