Russian lawmaker and meat magnate, Pavel Antov, was found dead this week at his hotel in Odisha, India. A report from The Hill said Antov is reported to have fallen from a 3rd floor window at his hotel on Sunday.
Deaths of Russian businessmen and lawmakers usually make some suspicious, but this death has an extra suspicious twist to it. Fellow Russian, and traveling partner of Antov’s on this trip to India, Vladimir Budanov, reportedly died at the same hotel on Friday, just two days before Antov’s “accident”.
Dudanov’s death was reported as a “stroke” by Odisha Police Superintendent, Vivikanahad Sharma. The Police Superintendent also said Antov was depressed after the death of his friend, which was why he committed suicide two days later.
Antov’s body was reportedly cremated the very next day, with the permission of his family.
