Investigators said the victim remotely started her vehicle while she was still inside of her house. She walked outside and opened her driver’s door before placing her purse inside of the vehicle. As the victim walked to the back of the vehicle to retrieve items from the vehicle’s rear hatch, she heard her car’s door shut. The victim reportedly walked back to the front of the car to see Bowser standing by the driver’s side door. As the victim looked into the car, she could see a small child seated in the passenger’s seat.

The victim reportedly attempted to remove Bowser from the vehicle after she’d got inside. That was when Bowser allegedly stabbed the victim in the arm with a sharp object, before taking off in the victim’s vehicle.

State Troopers spotted Bowser and the jacked vehicle On Coastal Highway at around 6:10 a.m. and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Bowser fled. She lost the troopers, but was eventually tracked down later in the day in the Middletown area. She was successfully taken into custody this time. Police said they found a knife inside of the vehicle. The 1-year old, who is reportedly a relative of Bowser’s, was not injured. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Bowser is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $191,000 cash bail.
