An Amazon-contracted worker was reportedly shot and severely injured by a gunman who opened fire on the employee outside of an Amazon Facility in Arizona yesterday. A report from 6 ABC News said the incident happened in the parking lot of an Amazon Flex Facility in Chandler, Arizona at around 9:30 a.m.(local time) on Wednesday morning.

Investigators said the gunman was shot and killed by a second Amazon contract worker, who reportedly returned fire when the shooting began. The deceased suspect has been identified as 29-year old, Jacob Murphy, who was not an employee at the facility. The injured contracted worker was rushed to the hospital with “life threatening injuries.”
Police said they do not know what led to the shooting at this time.
