According to witness accounts, the speeding Kia clipped the rear of a Honda that was stopped at a red light on the Boulevard at Rising Sun Ave. The Kia lost control and flipped over several times after clipping the Honda at the light. While the Kia was flipping over multiple times, the passenger in the car was ejected from the vehicle and thrown onto the road. The driver exited the vehicle and fled after the crash. Witnesses said the driver was also injured in the crash, but managed to limp away and flee the scene and was last seen heading Eastbound on Rising Sun Avenue

. “The spare tire from that vehicle actually flew and hit my vehicle, and actually scraped up the hood and knocked out my side mirror. It was weird. The impact was so fast. The driver fled before I could even attempt to catch up to him. So then I ran to the passenger, but it was too late. There was nothing I could do for him”, said an eyewitness at the scene.
