A 35-year old man who was a passenger onboard a moving Septa bus, was reportedly hit by a stray bullet in the Frankford section of the city early this morning. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened as a route 56 Septa bus was traveling north on Torresdale Avenue near Church Street at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Investigators said there were 7 passengers on the bus when a bullet fired from outside entered the bus and hit the 35-year old victim in the arm. The driver pulled the bus over about 4 blocks later at Orthodox Street. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
Police are reportedly searching for the person who fired the weapon.
