A 53-year old man was reportedly found dead inside an SUV in West Philadelphia last night. A 6 ABC Action News report said police responded to a call of shots fired on the 5000 block of Westminster Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a GMC Yukon. The victim was suffering from two bullet wounds to the chest and one to the face. Police rushed the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The SUV reportedly had multiple bullet holes in it, but no shell casings were found at the scene, leading police to believe the victim was shot elsewhere. Police said nearby surveillance cameras recorded another man exiting the vehicle via the passenger side of the SUV before police arrived on the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
