An alleged shoplifter and a security guard are both dead after exchanging gunfire inside of a Giant Supermarket in Maryland yesterday. An ABC News report said the incident happened at the Giant Supermarket in Oxon Hill at around 10:25 a.m. on Friday morning.
According to police, the woman was confronted by the store’s security guard after allegedly being seen shoplifting. The woman allegedly pulled a gun from her backpack and shot the security guard, who returned fire. Both shots hit their intended targets. Both died from their injuries. Neither the guard or alleged shoplifter were identified. No one else was reported injured during the shooting.
