A woman working in a corner store was reportedly shot and critically wounded as gunmen fired at a group of people standing outside of the North Philadelphia corner store last night. A Fox-29 News report said the incident happened at North 6th & Westmoreland Streets at around 9:20 p.m. on Friday night.

According to Philadelphia Police Inspector, D.F. Pace, a group of men were standing outside the corner store, when one person, or possibly two, pulled up in a cream colored vehicle and began to open fire. At least 16-shots were fired.
One of the bullets reportedly went through the window of the convenience store and struck the 37-year old female victim in the back. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was last reported to be in critical condition. No motive for the shooting was reported.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
