High-end fashion Brand, Balenciaga has announced that they’ve severed any ties they once had with rapper Kanye West. A CNN report says Balenciaga’s announcement that they’ve cut ties with West, comes on the heels of controversial antisemitic posts and statements made by the rapper on Social Media and in appearances on talk shows, in recent weeks.
Kanye West and Balenciaga teamed up on a Yeezy Gap line earlier in the year that was very successful for both parties involved. Balenciaga initially announced a 10-years deal with Kanye back in June of 2020. Balenciaga’s Parent company, Kering, announced the company’s decision to part ways with Ye.
“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,” Kering said in a written statement.
Sneaker brand, Adidas is also reportedly “reviewing” their partnership with West.
